? Sydney | Climate Innovation Ecosystem

Design experiences. Build ecosystems. Accelerate climate innovation.

Greenhouse is Australia’s leading climate innovation ecosystem — bringing together startups, corporates, academia, government and global partners to turn climate ambition into real-world action.

We’re looking for an Events & Community Manager to lead high-impact events and member engagement across the Greenhouse ecosystem, creating the conditions for collaboration, connection and long-term engagement.

This role sits at the intersection of events, community and commercial outcomes, with real ownership, visibility and scope to grow.

Why this role exists

At Greenhouse, events and community are not side-of-desk activities — they are core to how innovation happens.

This role exists to lead and elevate the events and community experience across Greenhouse: designing standout events, supporting a thriving member ecosystem, and ensuring every interaction with Greenhouse feels purposeful, connected and impactful.

About the role

As Events & Community Manager, you’ll own both the strategy and execution of Greenhouse’s events and community engagement.

You’ll shape how Greenhouse shows up to the market, how our community connects and collaborates, and how events support ecosystem growth, partnerships and repeat engagement.

This role may suit:

  • A strong events or community professional with 3–5 years’ experience ready to step up, or
  • A senior individual contributor seeking autonomy, ownership and purpose-driven impact

Key responsibilities

Events & experiences

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of Greenhouse’s events calendar, including flagship climate events, sector forums, workshops, summits, founder programs and partner activations
  • Shape event formats and experiences aligned to Greenhouse’s mission and market position
  • Manage logistics, vendors, budgets and on-site delivery to ensure high-quality, seamless experiences

Community & ecosystem engagement

  • Build and nurture a connected, engaged community across founders, members, corporates, partners, academia, government and global stakeholders
  • Support and coordinate member-led events and workshops, enabling members to activate the Greenhouse space and ecosystem
  • Identify and nurture member-driven event opportunities to drive engagement and future commercial potential
  • Partner internally to ensure member engagement initiatives align with broader ecosystem, program and partnership objectives

Partnerships & collaboration

  • Support corporate innovation partnerships through events, programs and curated experiences
  • Work with internal teams to activate sector initiatives, founder programs and ecosystem partnerships

Insight & optimisation

  • Track engagement, attendance, satisfaction and ROI
  • Gather feedback and translate insights into improved experiences and offerings
  • Maintain strong operational discipline across reporting, contracts and post-event analysis

 What you’ll bring

  • Experience delivering events, programs or community experiences — ideally within innovation, tech, climate, co-working, partnerships, hospitality or purpose-led environments
  • Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from founders to senior corporate and government leaders
  • Strong organisational and execution capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commercial awareness and comfort linking events to revenue, partnerships and long-term value
  • Experience using a CRM or marketing automation platform (preferably HubSpot) to manage event registrations, communications and reporting — or the ability to pick this up quickly
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgement and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

We’re less focused on years of experience and more interested in capability, credibility and impact.

Why Greenhouse

At Greenhouse, events are not just gatherings — they are catalysts for climate action.

You’ll help deliver:

  • Australia’s largest climate tech and climate action events
  • Founder programs accelerating climate solutions
  • Sector-based initiatives tackling the hardest-to-abate industries
  • Corporate innovation programs driving real deployment of climate technology

Your work will directly shape how Greenhouse connects people, ideas and solutions — and how Australia accelerates its transition to a low-carbon future.

The opportunity

This role offers genuine scope to grow in seniority, influence and impact as Greenhouse expands its national and global footprint.

If you’re motivated by ownership, connection and meaningful outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
