Join Greencode Ventures as Finance & Operations Manager — Power Europe’s Digital Green Transition

At Greencode Ventures, we back what matters: high-impact, early-stage startups using digital technology to tackle the climate crisis. We invest in bold teams building scalable solutions in renewable energy, electrified mobility, green computing, clean industry, sustainable built environment and resilient critical infrastructure.

With headquarters in Finland and work locations in Helsinki, Stockholm, Essen, Geneva and Dublin, we invest across Europe. Our first fund, one of Finland’s largest first funds, is active and performing strongly. We are now gearing up towards Fund II.

Your Role: Finance & Operations Manager (f/m/d)

This is a mission-critical role at Greencode — designed for someone who wants to help build and run a top-tier European VC platform, not just support it.

As Finance & Operations Manager, you will be the architect and owner of Greencode’s financial, reporting, and compliance backbone. You will work closely with the Partners across fundraising, portfolio management, LP relations, governance, and strategy, ensuring that the firm operates with institutional-grade quality, accuracy, and transparency.

You will take full ownership of how capital flows, how performance is measured, how risks are managed, and how the fund shows up to investors, regulators, and portfolio companies.

This is a role for someone who combines financial excellence, operational rigor, and a strong sense of responsibility in a fast-moving VC environment.

What You’ll Do

Fund Finance & Reporting

  • Own all financial data for the fund and management company, including cash flow, budgets, forecasts, capital accounts, fees, and expenses.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, accounting, and audits together with external providers.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual LP reports and financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio valuations, performance tracking, and fund metrics.
  • Continuously improve financial systems, reporting tools, and data quality.

LP Operations & Fund Administration

  • Act as the main operational interface between Greencode and its Limited Partners.
  • Prepare and manage capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
  • Support fundraising with financial models, track record materials, data rooms, and LP due diligence.
  • Ensure timely, precise, and transparent communication with investors.

Portfolio & Investment Support

  • Maintain portfolio financials, KPIs, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Support investment decisions, follow-ons, and IC processes with financial analysis.
  • Work with portfolio companies on financial structures, reporting, and governance when needed.

Compliance, Tax & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with AIFM, fund documentation, ESG/SFDR, and internal policies.
  • Oversee tax filings, regulatory reporting, and audits at fund and company level.
  • Manage relationships with lawyers, accountants, auditors, administrators, and regulators.
  • Maintain internal control frameworks and governance processes.

Operations & Internal Management

  • Manage key vendors, contracts, and service providers.
  • Support Partners with operational, financial, and administrative matters.
  • Keep Greencode’s internal processes, documentation, and systems robust and scalable.

Who You Are

  • Relevant prior work experience: You have 3+ years of experience in fund operations, finance, audit, transaction services, VC, PE, infrastructure, or a similarly demanding financial environment.
  • Financial & operational excellence: You understand how venture capital and private equity funds work — from cap tables and valuations to LP reporting, cash flows, and compliance.
  • Structured and reliable: You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning complex processes that others depend on.
  • Sharp & proactive: You take initiative, see risks early, and enjoy building clarity and order in fast-moving environments.
  • Tech & climate fluent: You are curious about digital businesses and climate solutions, and comfortable operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and sustainability.
  • Team-oriented: You work well in a distributed, international team and take pride in helping others succeed.

Fluency in English is required. Other European languages are a plus.

What We Offer

  • A core fund-building role at one of Europe’s leading climate tech VC firms.
  • Real ownership over finance, operations, LP reporting, and governance.
  • Close collaboration with senior partners and international investors.
  • A high-trust, ambitious, and mission-driven working environment.

Location

Preferably Helsinki or Essen/Dusseldorf area, with experience working in a remote team.
