Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for driving growth in solar EPC and clean energy projects across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. This position involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. Daily activities include conducting market research, preparing proposals and presentations, collaborating with engineering and project teams to design suitable solutions, and negotiating terms that align with customer needs and company objectives. The Business Development Manager will track sales performance, forecast revenue, and report on pipeline activities, while ensuring that customer interactions reflect Green Watt Energy’s commitment to quality and service. The role also includes participation in industry events, site visits, and client meetings to strengthen the company’s presence in the regional market.

Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and deal negotiation.
- Experience in customer relationship management and account management within renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and develop go-to-market strategies for solar and clean energy solutions.
- Proficiency in preparing commercial proposals, presentations, and basic financial assessments (e.g., ROI, payback calculations).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and project teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in B2B or project-based sales; prior exposure to solar EPC or renewable energy solutions is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with readiness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events as needed. <
