About the Job

Digitalization and the energy transition in one sentence? Yes, at Green Fusion!

As a growing start-up based in Berlin, we develop software for the digital monitoring and control of heating systems and complete sector-coupling systems. In doing so, we connect heat pumps, PV systems, storage solutions, and charging infrastructure, and optimize real-world operations.

As a working student in the sector-coupling team, you will contribute to the implementation of our energy management system in real projects.

Responsibilities
  • You support the product development and rollout of our new energy management system (EMS) for multi-family residential buildings and directly contribute to reducing tenants’ energy costs and advancing the building heat transition.

  • You technically assess buildings and systems, e.g. with regard to communication interfaces, device selection, manufacturers, and PV electricity usage models.

  • You analyze the energy optimization potential of sector-coupling systems.

  • You support the onboarding processes of new systems and help standardize them in order to further develop the product in a scalable way.

  • You conduct market research to assess the coverage of relevant devices such as inverters, heat pumps, and controllers.

  • You support the team in day-to-day operations, e.g. with organizational tasks, event preparation, or creating presentations.

Qualifications

We know that no one meets a job profile 100%. If you see yourself in most of these points and are passionate about our mission, we look forward to hearing from you!

  • You speak German at least at C1 level.

  • You are an enrolled student in an advanced bachelor’s program or a master’s program, e.g. in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or industrial engineering; ideally with a focus on building efficiency, energy economics, or energy engineering.

  • You are motivated to work in a dynamic start-up environment, have a hands-on mentality, and enjoy taking responsibility.

  • You quickly familiarize yourself with new contexts—from products and processes to projects and strategic topics.

  • You are interested in innovative technologies in the energy and data fields and independently work your way into new technical topics.

  • You communicate clearly and in a structured manner, also when interacting with external partners and customers.

  • You are available to work with us 16–20 hours per week.
