As a growing start-up based in Berlin, we develop software for the digital monitoring and control of heating systems and complete sector-coupling systems. In doing so, we connect heat pumps, PV systems, storage solutions, and charging infrastructure, and optimize real-world operations.
As a working student in the sector-coupling team, you will contribute to the implementation of our energy management system in real projects.
ResponsibilitiesYou support the product development and rollout of our new energy management system (EMS) for multi-family residential buildings and directly contribute to reducing tenants’ energy costs and advancing the building heat transition.
You technically assess buildings and systems, e.g. with regard to communication interfaces, device selection, manufacturers, and PV electricity usage models.
You analyze the energy optimization potential of sector-coupling systems.
You support the onboarding processes of new systems and help standardize them in order to further develop the product in a scalable way.
You conduct market research to assess the coverage of relevant devices such as inverters, heat pumps, and controllers.
You support the team in day-to-day operations, e.g. with organizational tasks, event preparation, or creating presentations.

You speak German at least at C1 level.
You are an enrolled student in an advanced bachelor’s program or a master’s program, e.g. in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or industrial engineering; ideally with a focus on building efficiency, energy economics, or energy engineering.
You are motivated to work in a dynamic start-up environment, have a hands-on mentality, and enjoy taking responsibility.
You quickly familiarize yourself with new contexts—from products and processes to projects and strategic topics.
You are interested in innovative technologies in the energy and data fields and independently work your way into new technical topics.
You communicate clearly and in a structured manner, also when interacting with external partners and customers.
You are available to work with us 16–20 hours per week.
