The Opportunity: High-Impact Business Development
We’re expanding and looking for a driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager of Beauty Sales, this role is laser-focused on aggressively driving new business acquisition, consistently exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets, and building strong, revenue-generating relationships within the salon and beauty industry.
This is a high-impact, purely executional sales role. Your primary focus will be generating a high volume of leads and acquiring new clients. You will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, building a sustainable pipeline, and creating lasting relationships with salon owners, staff, and industry professionals. After an initial onboarding period, account management will transition to our Member Success Team, but your key responsibility is to prospect, travel, onboard, and drive the acquisition of new, high-value clients.
Core Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales
Aggressive Prospecting & Client Acquisition:
· In-Region Prospecting Requirement: Dedicate 10 days per month to in-market, field-based prospecting to acquire new clients and cultivate relationships with multi-location salon groups and regional beauty distributors.
· High-volume lead generation, cold calling, and acquisition of new clients, with a focus on making at least 40 targeted calls per day outside of in-region travel days.
· Maintain a robust, high-velocity sales pipeline using our CRM (HubSpot).
Sales Execution & Onboarding:
· Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and pitch to contract negotiation and closing.
· Onboard new customers, ensuring seamless and successful integration into our system for the first three months.
· Foster initial relationships with salon owners and staff during onboarding to ensure satisfaction and successful, long-term adoption of GCS services.
Market Presence & Strategy:
· Represent GCS as a primary brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and other media opportunities, utilizing these for business development.
· Provide valuable, data-driven feedback and recommendations for marketing and sales strategies based on market intelligence.
Sales Administration & Performance Tracking:
· Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records in CRM for all sales documents, client registrations, and pipeline activities.
· Proactively monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and track the initial success of your onboarded clients.
Who We’re Looking For: A Proven Sales Hunter
We’re seeking a passionate, self-driven sales hunter with:
· 3-7 years of proven, quota-carrying sales experience, with a heavy focus on lead generation, cold calling, and new client acquisition. Experience in the beauty or sustainability sector is a plus.
· A documented track record of meeting and exceeding high sales targets and high activity goals (e.g., consistently making 40 calls per day to build and nurture new business).
· Willingness and ability to travel for in-region prospecting 10 days per month, in addition to 2-4 times per year for events, meetings, and industry conferences.
· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build immediate trust and strong relationships via phone, email, and in-person.
· Proficiency with CRM tools like HubSpot and an expert-level understanding of managing a high-velocity sales pipeline.
· An entrepreneurial spirit and the fierce drive to independently generate new business and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
· A passion for sustainability and a desire to sell a truly mission-driven product.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
