Building Automation Systems Technician

GPG Advisers is searching for an experienced consultant with an engineering background to help client organizations create and implement smart building programs, enterprise energy management strategies and operational analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

Building Automation and System Integration

· Work with BAS and Open protocols including, BACnet, Modbus, and Infinet

· Design building system integration to gateway based/multi-site architectural framework and enterprise systems solutions, using device-to-enterprise integration solutions such as Niagara Framework

· Program building automation and control logic and sequence of operations

· Troubleshoot possible issues including identifying and debugging software and installation problems

· Assemble all required documentation and user manuals created during the development process

Analytics and fault detection

· Perform Data management and analysis of operation data to identify energy conservation and demand control strategies using analytics software such as SkySpark

· Identify faults, deviations, and opportunities for savings

· Oversee the creation of system graphics

· Act as a technical resource to existing customers and field employees as needed

Building systems and energy performance

· General knowledge of building systems, operations, and energy conservation strategies

Qualifications

· Experience with Tridium Niagara framework

· BACnet / Modbus communication experience

· Understanding of network topologies and protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, Infinet and Ethernet

· Familiarity with HVAC, Energy Conservation, Lighting, and Facilities Management

· Excellent written and oral presentation skills

· Must be able to perform all tasks with minimal supervision or coaching

· Generally, 5+ years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above

Travel Requirements

Some travel may be required to support installation and start-up activities.
