The Financial Director will oversee all treasury functions for Gotions ESS and battery facility in U.S., with a focus on securing and managing project financing, optimizing capital structure, and mitigating financial risks. This role requires deep expertise in renewable energy project finance, debt financing, and treasury operations, ensuring alignment with Gotions strategic goals in the US energy storage market. The ideal candidate will drive innovative financing solutions to support the facilitys growth and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Optimization Strategy : Develop and implement strategies to balance debt and equity financing, minimizing cost of capital while ensuring liquidity for operations and expansion.
- Project Finance Leadership : Structure and secure debt and equity financing for Gotions ESS and battery facility in U.S., including initiating and maintaining dialogues with banks and investors, negotiating terms, leveraging renewable energy, and following up postfundraising affairs.
- Cash Flow Management : Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital management to support facility operations, including production rampup.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and commodity price exposures. Implement hedging strategies as needed.
- Network Maintenance : Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, equity investors, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders, investors, and advisors.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis : Develop detailed financial models to support project financing, debt repayment schedules, and investment decisions. Analyze debt service coverage ratios (DSCR) and other covenants to ensure compliance.
- Treasury Operations : Manage daytoday treasury activities, including banking operations, intercompany transactions, and compliance with U.S. financial regulations.
- Internal Coordination : Prepare and present treasury reports, including cash positions, financing updates, and market trends, to senior management and the board. Partner with finance, procurement, legal, and operations teams to align treasury strategies with facility goals. Support other potential partnerships or acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CPA, CFA, or CTP certification strongly preferred.
- Experience :
- Minimum 10 years of treasury or finance experience, with at least 5 years in renewable energy or energy storage project finance.
- Proven track record in structuring and securing debt financing for capitalintensive projects, preferably in solar, wind, or battery storage.
- Experience with U.S. renewable energy incentives (e.g., ITC, PTC, 45X credits) and working with development banks or private equity.
- Location: onsite in Fremont or Chicago.
