Main purpose of the job


Lead the ESG function for the Company’s listed and private funds, working on the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (“SFDR”), Principles for Responsible Investment (“PRI”) and Task Force on Climate‑related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”) frameworks. Gore Street’s latest fund is European based and is an article 9 fund.


Responsibilities, duties and tasks:


  • Leading on and producing reports against relevant ESG frameworks (TCFD, SFDR, PRI).
  • Leading and driving the Company’s ESG strategy.
  • Leading and conducting environmental and social safeguarding due diligence prior to major acquisitions.
  • Incorporate Company ESG requirements and recommendations into applicable internal and investor-related documentation to ensure shareholder and investor understanding of ESG policy.
  • Monitor the environmental, social and governance performance of the portfolio.


Person Specification


Qualifications/Training:

It is essential that the post holder has:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related subject.
  • Experience leading an ESG function.


Experience/Knowledge:

It is essential that the post holder has:

  • A proven track record of working with the SFDR, PRI and TCFD frameworks.
  • Exposure to renewables industry and an understanding of the capital markets and industry performance metrics.
  • A deep understanding of the relevant ESG frameworks. (i.e., TCFD, SFDR, PRI)


Skills And Abilities

It is essential that the post holder has:

  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills.
  • Attention to detail and discipline with multiple deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and pride in work product.
