Technical Program Manager II, Learning and Sustainability, Sustainability Metrics Accounting
Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to support the transformation of Google’s Environmental Accounting Program from a reporting-focused function into an engine that provides automated and timely sustainability insights to drive critical business decisions. The Global Sustainability team drives strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, and serves as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.

Minimum qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with SQL, data visualization tools such as Tableau, AI analytics solutions, data collection, and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience estimating sustainability metrics such as GHG (Scope 1, 2, and 3), water, energy, supply chain emissions, or decarbonization, according to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and other relevant frameworks.
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience working with sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), or corporate social responsibility data.
- Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) solutions in the data life cycle in analytics.
- Experience in data collection, data mining, and statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression, predictive modeling, time series analysis).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to audiences.
- Prioritize program goals, translate stakeholder needs into deliverables, and contribute to prioritization decisions.
- Analyze datasets relating to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and other sustainability and business metrics, including cross-functional datasets.
- Translate findings into clear, concise metrics, narratives, and supporting graphics for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Define user requirements and translate business needs into data questions.
- Identify patterns and trends, predict near-term changes in performance, and enable proactive strategy adjustments.

CompensationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share the specific range for your location during the hiring process. Compensation details listed reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
