Civil/Structural Engineer Requirements

We’re seeking a true engineer—not just a project manager—who thrives in an innovative, entrepreneurial setting. This individual is both visionary and hands-on, ready to contribute to a fast-moving startup where every design decision drives real-world impact.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in construction or residential structural design, including familiarity with building codes and energy efficiency standards.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of construction practices, methods, and materials.
    • Ability to perform energy calculations and integrate sustainable design principles.
  • Mindset:
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm to go above and beyond—putting in extra time and effort to help the company succeed.

Civil/Structural Engineer Responsibilities

As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will help shape the design and delivery of next-generation housing solutions that leverage advanced materials and technologies. Working under the guidance of a licensed PE, you’ll combine design expertise with hands-on problem-solving to bring bold, sustainable housing concepts to life.

  • Structural Design & Analysis
    • Develop and perform structural calculations for residential projects.
    • Design and implement structural systems using 3D printing and modular components.
    • Integrate cost-effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions into construction drawings.
  • Construction Integration
    • Collaborate with construction, printing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless design-to-build execution.
    • Translate design concepts into practical, buildable plans aligned with project goals and site conditions.
  • Research & Development
    • Participate in the testing and refinement of 3D printing technologies and building materials.
    • Contribute to the ongoing innovation of construction systems and techniques.
  • Project Documentation & Quality Control
    • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
    • Conduct design reviews and quality checks to ensure structural accuracy and compliance.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Partner closely with leadership, construction managers, and field staff to align designs with operational realities.
    • Stay current on industry trends, code updates, and best practices in sustainable building design.
