Overview

GoodLeap is a technology company delivering financing and software solutions for sustainable home upgrades, from solar panels and batteries to energy-efficient HVAC, roofing, windows, and more. Our platform has supported more than $27 billion in financing for sustainable solutions since 2018, and we also support our nonprofit GivePower, which is building life-saving water and electricity systems for communities around the world.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the development of AI-powered applications that transform how homeowners and external energy providers interact with and manage their home and energy footprint. This role will be at the forefront of introducing our AI agent into the consumer journey as a proactive copilot that takes on tasks, delivers insights, and drives outcomes across the Homeowner App and our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform.

You will collaborate with the Consumer BU engineering teams (Homeowner App and VPP) and the AI Platform team, owning the consumer application experiences, flows, and integrations that bring our AI agent to life. You will contribute to the vision for how AI powers consumer-facing products, drive adoption, and ensure the agent becomes a trusted, indispensable copilot for homeowners and external energy providers.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the AI product vision and establish the roadmap for AI-driven experiences across the Homeowner App and VPP platform; translate business goals into applications with measurable impact for homeowners and energy providers.
  • Embed the AI agent into core consumer journeys, delivering proactive insights and recommendations and enabling meaningful actions on behalf of users.
  • Lead integrations and applications by partnering with engineering, design, and data science to deliver end-to-end AI features, establish experimentation frameworks, and collaborate with the AI Platform team on APIs, guardrails, and model capabilities.
  • Advance the copilot vision by evolving the AI agent into a trusted partner that helps homeowners manage their homes and enables energy providers to participate in the grid, guided by transparency, reliability, and user control.
  • Define and track KPIs (e.g., engagement, task completion, retention, NPS, cost-to-serve) and iterate AI-driven experiences based on data and feedback.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 4+ years in AI/ML-driven products or consumer applications.
  • Proven track record shipping consumer-facing products at scale, ideally with conversational AI, recommendation systems, or agentic experiences.
  • Strong understanding of AI UX principles including trust and safety, proactive vs. reactive experiences, and agentic design.
  • High technical acumen to work with platform/ML teams, understand API-driven integrations, and make architecture tradeoffs.
  • Strategic thinker and operator who can articulate a bold vision and drive execution at pace.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, with the ability to influence, align, and inspire teams.
  • Passion for building AI that delivers real-world value to homeowners and energy providers.
