As a Talent Acquisition Apprentice at Good Energy, you’ll join our People & Culture team and learn how we attract, engage, and hire amazing people who share our mission. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting recruitment processes and helping ensure every candidate has a positive experience from their first application to joining our team.
This is a development role focused entirely on recruitment, so no previous experience is needed. You’ll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of attracting, engaging, and hiring great people. We’ll support your learning every step of the way and sponsor your CIPD Level 3 apprenticeship, giving you a strong foundation in HR and recruitment. Your time will be spilt between studying towards your apprenticeship as well as hands on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Advertising roles: Posting of job adverts and helping to create engaging content to promote our roles and employer brand.
- Candidate communication: Managing the recruitment inbox - being the first friendly point of contact for candidates.
- Review applications: Reviewing new applications as candidates apply for roles and shortlisting candidates for interviews.
- Coordination: Scheduling interviews and keeping candidates informed at each stage of the process.
- Candidate sourcing: Using LinkedIn and other platforms to help identify great potential candidates.
- Utilising our ATS: By maintaining candidate records and tracking recruitment progress.
- Reporting & insights: Assisting with recruitment reports and sharing updates with the Talent team.
- Talent attraction & diversity: Contributing ideas to help us attract diverse and purpose-driven talent.
- Candidate experience: Ensuring that every candidate has a positive and inclusive experience with Good Energy.

Hybrid working explained: When and where you’ll be in the office:
Our office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. For this role, we're looking for candidates who can come in to our Chippenham office, once a week.
We offer both formal and informal flexible working options. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
The office is fully accessible, allowing everyone to participate fully in their working lives regardless of any mobility challenges. We promote work-life balance and flexibility through hybrid working, which combines both remote and office work.
