Project Manager – Commercial & Utility Scale Solar/BESS

Location: Washington D.C.

Salary : $140,000 - $150,000


Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solar & BESS Project Manager to lead commercial and utility-scale projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.

With a multi-gigawatt development pipeline and hundreds of megawatts under ownership and operation, the company offers exposure across the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Manage solar/BESS projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Lead constructability reviews, site evaluations, and preconstruction planning.
  • Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, quality, and QA/QC.
  • Coordinate permitting, utilities, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Lead meetings with internal teams, contractors, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning, punch lists, warranties, and final turnover.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within commercial and/or utility-scale solar. Other industries maybe considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction/development through construction and COD.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC delivery, permitting, interconnection, and construction management.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP and/or NABCEP certification is a plus.
