Wind Turbine Service Technician
About the Role
The role involves operating and maintaining wind turbines and wind farms, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
1）Operate & maintain wind turbines and wind farms:
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections of wind turbines and troubleshoot issues.
• Operate electrical measuring instruments and switch gear equipment, conduct electrical and diagnostic tests, carry out predictive inspections and corrective
maintenance to ensure the optimal availability and performance of wind turbines.
• Operate and maintain equipment for computer networks and communication
protocols, system for monitoring and operation of wind turbines and wind farm
substation (SCADA system).
• Develop turbine performance reports, technical failure analysis reports, and other
O&M-related reports.
2）Inventory management & maintenance
• Manage and organize inventory, specifying, delivering, and maintaining the
optimal inventory level for the execution of the work.
• Prepare inventory for scheduled maintenance.
• Document the use/consumption of inventory, conduct periodic stocktake of onsite inventory.
3）HSE compliance and risk management
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment analysis before conducting O&M
work.
• Ensure compliance with the QHSE requirements on site. Create non-conformity
reports where applicable.
4）Support other relevant work when needed
Qualifications and Experiences Required
1）Hold a technical degree in electrical relevant majors
2）Have previous working experience in electrical commissioning or maintenance and
have the ability to take a hands-on approach to service tasks
Required Knowledge and Skills
1）Have PLC knowledge and its peripherals.
2）Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
3）Proficient in English
4）Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
5）Having wind industry experience is a plus
6）Able to travel to wind farm sites
