An established investment firm is seeking an ambitious and analytical ESG & Sustainability Analyst Trainee to join its research and strategy team. This graduate-level opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about ethical finance, sustainability, and responsible investment practices.
Working closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers, the successful candidate will support the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into the firm’s investment process. You’ll be involved in assessing company sustainability performance, analysing ESG data, and contributing to reports that help guide investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on ESG risks and opportunities across various industries and sectors.
Analyse company disclosures, sustainability reports, and third-party ESG ratings.
Support the preparation of ESG performance reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
Contribute to the development of responsible investment frameworks and strategies.
Monitor regulatory developments and global sustainability initiatives.
Assist in maintaining ESG data models and updating portfolio sustainability metrics.
Collaborate with investment and risk teams to embed ESG principles in decision-making.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and quantitative research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
A genuine interest in sustainable finance, corporate responsibility, and global climate issues.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ESG data platforms (e.g. MSCI, Sustainalytics, Refinitiv) is advantageous.
