GSCC | Digital and Operations Assistant, Zero Carbon Analytics (Parental leave cover ~ 4 months)

This position is with the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), a global network of communications professionals in the field of climate, energy and nature. GSCC is a programme hosted by the Meliore Foundation.
We're looking for an innovative and well-organised Digital and Operations Assistant to join us on a fixed-term basis to cover parental leave.
You’ll be joining Zero Carbon Analytics (ZCA), a research team working in collaboration with GSCC to hasten the transition to net zero. You will work as part of ZCA’s Content Team to support the distribution and promotion of the team’s research, in alignment with strategic communications priorities, as well as support day-to-day operations. The role will report to ZCA’s Editor and Audience Lead.

How you'll contribute
- Support digital content creation and scheduling
- Work with editorial and research colleagues to create engaging content tailored to different social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn)
- Upload briefings to the website (WordPress), including formatting, selecting images, inputting SEO metadata, etc.
- Format and send regular research newsletters (Hubspot)
- Ensure brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visual aesthetics.
- Digital analytics & reporting
- Track social media and website analytics using SM platform metrics, Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Track media coverage of ZCA research using Brandwatch
- Recording metrics in tracking templates, flagging any trends or insights
- Operations
- Provide operational and project management support, working closely with the Production Manager and Research Director, especially during the COP period
- Maintain databases of research outputs and project management platforms to ensure correct documentation of project data
- Support with monitoring, evaluation and impact tracking
- Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, with the ability to produce content to brand guidelines.
- Proficiency in website CMS, ideally WordPress.
- Knowledge of web and social media platform analytics, including Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with mass mailing systems, such as HubSpot, and GDPR.
- Ability to work with project management systems for remote/digital teams, such as Trello.
- Experience with media monitoring and analysis tools would be a plus, such as Brandwatch or Magnet, as would experience in media-focused environments, PR, or similar.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently. Excellent attention to detail.
- The versatility, adaptability and communication skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Slack and Google Workspace.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset.
- Some overlap in working hours with the EU/UK working day. Please note that this role may require some work outside local working hours, notably during the COP31 period.
