About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Project Manager – Onshore Wind to support the development of renewable energy projects across the UK. This role offers the chance to contribute to the delivery of onshore wind projects from early-stage concept through to final investment decision.
Working within a collaborative project environment, you will support project delivery activities and play a key role in advancing projects that contribute to the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in delivering key development milestones for onshore wind projects.
- Maintain project documentation including schedules, risk registers, budgets, and stakeholder plans.
- Take ownership of defined workstreams such as stakeholder engagement, environmental surveys, or design coordination.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment across project phases.
- Engage with landowners, public authorities, and local communities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Promote safe, structured, and compliant project delivery practices.
Location
- Edinburgh, UK (Hybrid).
- Travel and occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
- Driving licence desirable but not essential.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3+ years’ experience in a professional project environment, ideally within infrastructure, energy, or development.
- Understanding of core project management principles.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to managing documentation and project data.
- Motivated to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector.
Desirable
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
- Experience in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure development.
