Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Water Process Engineer to join our client, a global engineering consultancy.


I have partnered with a leading international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Dublin, to assist them to find an experienced Senior Water Process Engineer to join their team. This firm is renowned for delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions across the water, environmental, and infrastructure sectors.


This role will offer the successful Water Process Engineer exposure to both local and international projects, with opportunities for collaboration across a global network of experts.


Sample Projects:

  • Major Water Infrastructure Programmes – supporting water utilities and local authorities in upgrading treatment facilities and networks to meet sustainability and capacity targets.
  • Industrial Water Projects – delivering process solutions for manufacturing and pharmaceutical clients focused on water reuse and efficiency.
  • Climate Resilience Initiatives – developing process design strategies that support adaptation and mitigation against climate change.
  • International Water Strategies – advise on water risk management and water strategy frameworks for large-scale clients.


The Role:

  • Provide process design and consultancy on multidisciplinary water and industrial projects.
  • Develop concept and detailed designs, feasibility studies, and process reports.
  • Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Contribute to process data sheets, specifications, and system designs (e.g. valves, pumps, and control systems).
  • Support project delivery from initial studies through to construction and commissioning.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Apply digital tools and modelling techniques to optimise process solutions.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership).
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in water or wastewater process design, ideally within consultancy.
  • Experience in both clean water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Knowledge of European water-related regulations and design standards.
  • Experience in process consultancy, feasibility studies, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across disciplines.
