Environmental Consultant
A leading Irish multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join its growing Environment & Planning team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional with strong experience in EIA, EIAR and environmental planning to work on a diverse portfolio of major projects across Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and coordination of environmental assessments, EIARs and planning applications, working closely with specialist environmental teams, planners, engineers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Projects:
- Renewable energy developments including wind, solar and energy infrastructure (€20M – €300M+)
- Strategic Infrastructure Developments (SID)
- Major transportation and infrastructure projects
- Residential and mixed-use developments
- Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)
- Planning applications and environmental assessments
- Public and private sector projects across Ireland
Role:
- Prepare and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)
- Manage EIA and environmental planning projects from early-stage assessment through to planning
- Prepare, review and coordinate environmental reports and technical documentation
- Coordinate inputs from specialist disciplines including ecology, noise, air quality, water, landscape and archaeology
- Provide environmental and planning advice to clients and multidisciplinary project teams
- Support the preparation and submission of planning applications
- Review environmental information and identify key environmental constraints and considerations
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience within environmental consultancy, EIA or environmental planning
- Strong experience preparing or coordinating EIARs
- Good understanding of Irish environmental and planning legislation
- Experience working on renewable energy, infrastructure or development projects is advantageous
- Strong technical report writing and environmental assessment skills
