We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Cost Management to join a major, complex programme within the nuclear sector. The role will involve leading the preparation of contract data and scope documentation, while demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Your day to day could involve:
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver major projects in line with established operational and governance frameworks.
- Work closely with the nuclear commercial team to provide robust commercial and contract management for high‑value, complex contracts.
- Manage the administration of NEC forms of contract, ensuring full compliance with contractual processes, obligations, and timescales.
- Prepare and develop contract data, scope documentation, and associated commercial inputs to a high standard.
- Drive clear, consistent communication and alignment across clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee accurate financial management, including cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support client and project reporting.
- Who we're looking for:
- Ideally be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
- Must have experience within the Construction environment or engineering discipline and relevant experience within Cost Management, experience in the Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering (Including Service contracting) sector is essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as a methodical way of thinking with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience in contract management within nuclear, infrastructure, engineering or major projects.
- Experience operating forms of contract, including NEC3 and NEC4.
- Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, APM, AcostE or other relevant Chartered Institute are desired, and will be supported if not already obtained.
