We are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team permanently providing support to a major nuclear infrastructure project. As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide contract management and administration of large professional service and construction contracts, provide support to the development and operation of electronic contract management systems, and provide contract and risk management planning and implementation.

  • Your day to day could involve:
  • Administer and manage standard forms of contract, including NEC and FIDIC.
  • Lead commercial delivery of major nuclear infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and programme strategy.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cost control process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and commercial performance tracking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders programme wide.
  • Lead and mentor commercial teams, providing guidance, oversight and professional development.
  • Issuing payment certs and valuation assessment of the works

Who we're looking for:

  • Ideally be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
  • Must have experience within the Construction environment or engineering discipline and relevant experience within Cost Management, experience in the Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering (Including Service contracting) sector is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as a methodical way of thinking with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating forms of contract, including NEC3, NEC4 and FIDIC.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, APM, AcostE or other relevant Chartered Institute are desired, and will be supported if not already obtained.
