Global Head of Environmental Sustainability - Your future role?
As the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability, you will define and lead the environmental sustainability agenda for Givaudan across its entire value chain and to meet our Net zero 2045 Purpose ambition (Scope 1, 2 & 3 + Product Carbon Footprint) and our non financial targets on water, waste and circularity. Ensure implementation of our science-based targets and actively advocate for their full integration across all business processes to steer decision-making and drive performance. You will lead the Global Sustainable Operations sponsor governance and ensure progress of all workstreams across both divisions and all functions; represent the environmental sustainability function in key governance bodies (Sustainable procurement, Regenerative Agriculture and PCF Steering Committees). You will be responsible for overall performance disclosure and communication (internal + external) including but not limited to Integrated Annual Report, CDP, RE100, SBTi Targets and provide regular updates to senior leaders, including the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on environmental sustainability matters and governance (including Long Term Incentive Plan and sustainable financing framework).
You will lead a 7 experts' team, be a member of Givaudan's Sustainability Leadership Team and will report directly to the Global Head of Sustainability

Your main responsibilities will be:
Lead Givaudan on our Nature pillar
- Lead Givaudan on our ambitions related to climate, water, waste and circularity
- Lead the Global Sustainable Operations Governance Sponsors & Work streams
- Define and Lead the Environmental sustainability program and master plan to eliminate GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 & 3), Water, Waste and circularity management for the entire value chain, in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders
- Define reporting scope and definitions (indicators, perimeter, periodicity)
- Manage Nature ambitions trajectories related to Sustainable Financing framework and LTIPs Long Term Incentive Plans
- Manage Mitigation measures as delegated in ERM (Enterprise Risk Management)
- Ensure coherence of calculations and inventory methodologies for PCF product carbon footprinting
- Manage the Environmental Sustainability team and guide them to contribute to the overall ambition targets and sustainability digital transformation and strategic initiatives
- Responsible for overall performance disclosure and communication (internal + external) including but not limited to Givaudan's integrated annual report, CDP, RE100, SBTi Targets
- Ensure the appropriate communications and updates are available for EC, BoD & Senior Management
- Prepare and validate environmental sustainability communications as needed
- Represent Givaudan in Sustainability forums as per needs
- Ensure performance disclosure, assurance audits and communication (internal + external) in domain of responsibilities (Content expert for reporting and validation of external and internal communication)
- Support customers' sustainability journey and requests on Sustainability by providing Environmental Sustainability expertise
Your professional profile includes:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Sustainable Management
- Fluent in English
- Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering or sustainability program management
- Strong knowledge of corporate environmental sustainability (Science-Based Targets net zero standard, CDP Climate Change and Water Security, GHG Protocol, CEO Water Mandate,…)
- Strong change management skills
- Good networker, inside and outside of Company
- Proven ability to set up and run a cross-functional program in a global organisation
- Track record of working effectively in a matrix organization and deliver through people with no reporting lines
- Creative in approach; originates ideas to support business needs
