Senior Project Manager (Electrical) - Energy

Location: Gary, Indiana

This role will be primarily site based with travel depending on project requirements.

Overview

A leading electrical contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver large scale energy infrastructure projects across utility scale solar, battery storage, substations, and data center related scope. This position will lead projects from early stage qualification through to execution and closeout.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle including pre construction, execution, and closeout
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, engineers, and field staff
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Oversee contractual compliance, financial performance, and reporting
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and client stakeholders
• Define team structure, communication flow, and execution strategy

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in electrical construction across energy, utility, or data center markets
• Proven leadership managing large scale projects and teams
• Experience in estimating, cost control, scheduling, and procurement
• Ability to drive performance across multiple project phases
• Strong commercial and operational awareness

Requirements

• High School Diploma required, degree preferred in Construction, Engineering, or similar
• 8+ years experience within electrical construction
• 5+ years at Project Manager level
• Experience managing teams and delivering complex projects
