The Opportunity

The business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of renewable energy projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading contractor at the forefront of the energy transition, managing projects that will play a vital role in the development of Ireland's renewable infrastructure.

Working closely with commercial, engineering and operational teams, you will take full responsibility for project performance, ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of renewable energy projects from construction through to completion and handover.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and overall project performance.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, procurement and site operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, utility providers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, programme milestones and quality standards.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to senior leadership and clients.
  • Promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support procurement strategies, subcontractor management and commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational performance.


Required Experience & Background

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering major construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience within renewable energy, power, utilities, energy infrastructure or major civil engineering projects.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrable success delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing client relationships and contractual obligations.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations throughout Ireland as required.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM or Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and project governance.
  • Experience managing renewable energy projects from construction through commissioning is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, collaborative leadership style with excellent problem-solving capability.
