Join GE Vernova’s Electrification Software to drive Services Transformation in our Grid Software Business unit. Grid Orchestration Software (GridOS) is the first software portfolio designed specifically for grid orchestration to enable utilities to navigate the complexity that comes with the sustainable energy grid. GridOS is to play a very significant role in Energy transition, Grid modernization and protecting the Grid from Cyber attacks.

In this role, you will closely partner with SVP Product Management, SVP Engineering and their staff to enable them to deliver on time, reduce defects, define Product cost target, drive software led region strategy, allocate capital using ROIC models, measure ROIC and be the voice of Regions, commercial and Services from the perspective of business financials goals of Orders, Revenue, EBITDA and Cash to help prioritize development effort.

Job Description

Essential responsibilities

  • Drive Software Led business and Region Strategy: Partner with product teams of product management and engineering, Regional GMs, Strategy leader, Services delivery teams to develop long term product and regional strategy that focuses on accelerating growth in regions and product features that help accelerate growth. Then translate Strategy into Annual Operating Plan of a list of prioritized items leveraging capital allocation using ROIC.

  • Optimize product Investment: Benchmark product investment as a % of Revenue with external comp to optimize investment. Identify the right mix of the capital allocation between GridOS and Heritage portfolios.

  • Accountability to on time delivery with quality: Hold the Product and Engineering teams and system integrators (i.e., Partners) accountable to deliver product Roadmap timely and with right quality per SLA defined.

  • Governance on future Orders: (1) Partner with product, commercial and Services teams to define rules of the road on making commitments on items on the roadmap and new items that are not on the road map. (2) Develop process and governance model to seek price bid on delivery obligations on opportunities to be pursued.

  • Resource Location Management: Partner with HR, Product leadership, R&D CFO & Analyst and system integrator to optimize best cost mix of resources.

  • Price and capital allocation: Be the catalyst of defining and driving adoption of price review framework, it’s effectiveness and take actions to set optimized price. Enable product management team to read financials, offer product insights, coach them on adopting ROIC based investment approach and drive adoption of price ownership across product management team.

  • Enable product to prioritize and deliver customer commitments : Partner with Services Finance Leader and Commercial Finance Leader to define and improve process to capture product dependencies on project and deals, drive product management team to prioritize to avoid liquidated damages and eliminate revenue leakage.

  • Profitability views: Develop and Enhance profitability by product, Customer, and project to drive growth and profitability, and expand gross margin.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or equivalent from an accredited college or university

  • 10+ years of Operational Finance experience including CMR and 606 Accounting or Commercial Finance experience including product

Desired Characteristics

  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of SAP (Fusion), Oracle Fusion and Hyperion Financial Management System (HFM).

  • Financial Control experience in a public company.

  • Demonstrated team leadership ability.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize effectively.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills in a matrix organization.

  • Established analytical, project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues.

  • Ability to work with remote and cross functional/cultural teams.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $169,500.00 and $282,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
