Commodity Sourcing Leader will have to implement actions such as:
- Deploy, Optimize, and communicate a competitive commodity Global Sourcing strategy
- Create a Market Intelligence for his/her own segments
- KPI’s to be reported to the Direct Material Sourcing Leader
- Monitor & Improve Suppliers & Sourcing performance in Operations (Total Cost of Ownership, Delivery, and Quality, Service level & Innovation)
- Assess supplier performances
- Develop and lead cost out ideas on each of his/ her segment
- Cooperate with Commodity Buyers under the leadership of the Global Fulfillment Leader
- Contribute to define the global Renewable sourcing strategy
- Source goods with best suppliers and develop the suppliers' panels
- Negotiate T&C and any particular clauses
- Prepares forecast & backlog for her/his commodity
- Support development of best assumptions in tendering and product activities
- Support commodity co-design, standardization and rationalization actions
- Support discussions with suppliers during execution in case of claims, PO changes in coordination with Buyers who is the leader. Provide sourcing rules in Oracle
- Develop a strong relationship with Manufacturing, Engineering and Product Line teams to partner in driving key sourcing and business objectives around cost, cash, supplier quality, NPI and fulfillment
- Reduce risks in supply chain by mitigating sole source suppliers
- Drive emerging market growth strategy and localization requirements
- Collaborate with Materials team to drive standardization and continuous improvement of purchasing processes and cycle time reduction through consignment, VMI and Kanban strategies
- Drive business cash initiatives under the leadership of Finance
- Drive continuous improvement in the sourcing process with their stakeholders (engineering, ITO, fulfillment…)
- Lead relationship with his/her segment suppliers
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred option) degree in engineering, purchasing or business administration or equivalent knowledges and experiences
- Significant experience in Sourcing or Site activities supplier management, dealing with industrial activities and technical commodities
- Automotive sourcing is a plus
- Ability to work in English, in a global environment and matrix organization
- High negotiation skills
- Good communication & influencing skills
- Experiences in supplier selection & development
