Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be an integral- and integrating part of our global Operations -team (OTR). You will be responsible of leading and contributing activities related to the commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization and commissioning of protection and control systems, as well as management activities related to this scope. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for pre-planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Your duties would comprise of:

  • During project delivery, you will work in cooperation with project and engineering teams to define site strategy, project milestones and build/review Customer and contract requirements in scope of the Power Electronics System commissioning focusing to site and lab testing.

  • Based on Customer and Project requirements and on GE product specifications, you will be responsible for providing the appropriate Method Statements, Work Instructions and test procedures to be used during commissioning and testing works.

  • You will participate the project execution roadmap in scope of Power Electronics System, as well as resources requirements (internal or sub-contracting) to meet project milestones.

  • During project execution, you will coordinate with engineering the required deliveries and lab tests to comply with the Customer and Project requirements.

  • You will contribute, verify and validate commissioning documentation against Customer and Project requirements.

  • You will contribute on site commissioning during project execution until system take over/final acceptance with technical field team to deliver scope of work. Main tasks are with pre-commissioning and hot commissioning.

  • You will interface with Customer and/or any 3rd Party to plan, prepare and contribute all site activities during the different project phases.

  • You will provide trainings and guidance to field technicians/customers.

  • You will provide support either on site or remotely to field technicians and/or Customer.

  • You will ensure documentation is properly managed as per the project management, quality plan and contract.

  • You will provide regular reports on progress status and minimize variations of the validation and verification plan.

  • Comply with EHS policy and implement and enforce EHS policy within your area.

  • You will participate to continuous development of project management procedures, methods and tools.

Requirements:

To succeed in this job, you should have a degree in Engineering (Automation and Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics) and/or equivalent knowledge and experience from:

  • Willingness to travel, up to 70% (according to Project needs and phases)

  • Able to work autonomously on tasks

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills & experience

  • Able to report on regular basis and to align priorities

  • Experience in industrial project with multinational team and subcontractor workforce

  • Good understanding of engineering management tools (example, Jira, SVN)

  • PC knowledge of Microsoft applications as well as industrial and management software

  • Fluent in English

Desired Characteristics:

You will have already some working experience in an international environment, but above all we expect you to be a self-starter with high level of flexibility, resilience and self-learning attitude. As a person, you are a solid team-player with good prioritizing, communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience on electrical substations or -equipment is a advantage.
