Job Description Summary

The Lead Project Networking Engineer will provide technical expertise in networking, configuration, installation, commissioning. Work within the Projects group on technical responses to RFP’s, technically train field Service Engineers as well as Sales personnel on networking solutions from end-to-end.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Networking at or greater than the skill set of CCNA, CCNP Preferred.
  • Work within the Projects group on RFP Technical response support.
  • Training and training development/deployment on L3 Networking.
  • Communicates with all areas of the business in supporting Customers including; Sales, Technology, Product Services, Quality, Manufacturing, and any others as required, to resolve customer technical issues.
  • Specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done.
  • Be responsible for diverse clients in a region.
  • Work on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.
  • Be responsible for major contributions to the development of an operational year plan for own department activities of the team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with networking systems, system-level design, and troubleshooting concepts
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%

Desired Characteristics:

  • CCNA, CCNP
  • Strong Interpersonal Communication skills required.
  • Solid written summary and technical report writing skills required.
  • Ability to work independently at times.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
