The Commissioning Package Manager (CPM) is a key position with-in a project team, when some special scope requires special attention, and being managed as a project with-in the project.
CPM is part of the Project management pool with-in Project office, and reports operationally to the Project Director during the duration of his/her assignment.
The role encompasses all aspects of project management and the
Commissioning Package Manager is responsible of its Budget, the On time delivery, the quality and Customer acceptance of the commissioning scope to be managed.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Leadership and supervision of the commissioning activities during the preparation and execution of the project.
Ensure that the commissioning scope is delivered and integrated in the overall project plan, to the satisfaction of the Project Director, according to Project Governance, Goals and Strategies.
Together with the Commissioning Manager allocate technicians for all aspects of the Commissioning activities; also ensuring the development of the O&M activities.
Plan and lead all technical resource activities related to turbine Pre-Commissioning, warranty, parts and tool management with special focus on the planning commitments made.
Plan and lead all technical resource activities related to turbine preservation of the system located in the Tower and Nacelle, to ensure the operation of all systems during the storage.
After the turbine is erected on site, plan and lead all technical resource activities related to the turbine mechanical and electrical completion, to ensure that the WTG is fully terminated for the commissioning stage.
Plan and lead all technical resource activities related to the turbine commissioning, warranty, parts and tool management with special focus on the planning commitments made.
Keep a cost control for the activities described above, driving continuous improvement in field operations and reduce cost and incr
Educate and train in work procedures / instructions concerning them safe for their duties.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited College or University or equivalent experience/knowledge.
Minimum 5 years Engineering experience or other related field including a minimum 3 years of experience in power electrical system.
Desired Characteristics
Experience in design, commissioning and/or service of power conversion systems.
Experience in wind industry with a focus on power conversion systems.
Experience in offshore wind industry with a focus on power conversion systems.
Proven experience on reporting, documentation management, NCR management.
Good inter-personal and communication skills, be numerate and literate. Excellent IT skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision is essential.
Ability to work from as built drawings & System Schematics.
Ability to review, negotiate contracts
- The salary range for this position is 131,600.00 - 219,300.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus. Available benefits include Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
