As a Co-op/Intern, you will:
- Receive training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class manufacturing/supply chain operations and experienced managers.
- Grow your expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
- Interns will experience challenging assignments in the Renewable Energy Onshore Wind industry.
- Work on a variety of high priority teams, potentially including advanced technology and manufacturing, testing and validation, performance, quality, cost-out, and more
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for processes and procedures that drive safety, customer satisfaction, quality, fulfillment, and direct material productivity savings
- Work within a manufacturing environment to evaluate and identify areas for improvement and implement these improvements
- Additional projects may involve working with cross-functional teams that focus on improving of production areas.
- You may utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies in driving improvement through the production area.
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of production equipment.
Preferred: Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,Electrical Engineering
Will Take: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
- Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
Relocation Assistance:
Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance:
Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
