Job Description Summary

The Lead Project Management GIS is responsible to define the project execution strategy to deliver GIS projects on time, at customer satisfaction and at budget, applying Operations processes, EHS and quality systems, operating models and tools, throughout OTR, optimizing Revenue and Cash performance of the assigned project portfolio.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Customer interface: Interface to customers and to Solution units and Regions. Customer link and point of contact for all departments in the factory.
  • Project Planning: Follow-up of project milestones (handover, design freeze, engineering, procurement, assembly, FAT, site works, PAC). Customer inputs to factory planning, S&OP.
  • Risk and Opportunities: identification of project R&Os, definition of action plan and project execution strategy.
  • Project Financials: Sales pacing, project review, margin deviation monitoring and approval, project cash.
  • Project Commercial topics: claims, VOs, LDs negotiation, Bonds, Warranty.
  • Engineering of Solution: Analysis of contractual documents, coordinate design clarification and launch of project specific design, calculations, tests. Definition of spare parts and tools lists.
  • Follow-up of procurement/production/delivery: Follow-up of procurement/production, communication with customer. Lead customer FATs. Shipping coordination with customer.
  • Site installation: Site preparation with customer, interaction on site conditions, erection interfaces, erection tools, manpower, working hours. Project specific Method Statement, Risk Assessment. Follow-up of site progress, communication with customer, site NCRs.
  • Project closing: Handover with customer, closing of snags, last payments, bond recollection, handle of warranty issues, perform return on experience, closing of project and transfer to Service.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ideally University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
  • Practical experience within our branch, preferably with our products
  • Experience in project management in a production environment as well as a strong flair for commercial issues
  • Strong communication skills
  • High autonomy combined with a proactive and pragmatic approach to work
  • Fluent in German & English
