Job Description Summary

The employee will be responsible for the setup of digital platform for North America projects, dealing with IT architecture, communication protocols, database configuration and sensors at hydro powerplant. You will be also responsible by remote maintenance and perform analysis of collected data and drive technical discussions with customer. He/her will be responsible by support / manage on control system design (including deploying and testing programs), managing spare parts and tools necessary for site inspection on hydro power plant domain.

You will also be responsible to perform technical tendering tasks and provide technical support for sales team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the commissioning and maintenance of the hydro edge platform operating in the US
  • IT architecture definition,
  • Setup the remote connectivity with GE’s cloud platform meeting with customer requirements (configuration of VNP, firewall and switches…)
  • Data table exchange configuration between the hydro edge and the SCADA system (Modbus, OPC UA…)
  • Remote Maintenance and system support
  • Check of existing sensors at site (Accelerometers, proximity probes, tachometer…) connected to the edge platform data acquisition unit
  • Data crunching & analysis
  • Analyze the data generated by the hydro edge platform remotely (vibration, temperature, pressure…) leveraging specific tools developed and contribute to enhance the tools capabilities working with the software development team.
  • Manage customer interface and discussion (supported by hydro domain experts as required).
  • Contribute at robotic inspections
  • Able to drive this kind of inspection operating the robot
  • Deliver reports with the results of inspection
  • Execute reverse engineering
  • Able to operate the SCAN 3D and produce drawings from the gotten results
  • Able to manage spare parts activities of different scope
  • Able to design control system projects
  • CLP definition and and programming / configuration / test / troubleshoot
  • SCADA definition and programming / configuration / test / troubleshoot
  • Network definition and programming / configuration / test / troubleshoot
  • Database definition and programming / configuration / test / troubleshoot
  • Control panel design conception
  • Manage NCRs (non conformities report)
  • Support to site team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

  • Familiar with mechanical issues at a hydropower plant, vibration knowledge

The salary range for this position is $93,600 - $156,900 USD/year. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
