As a Co-op/Intern, you will:

  • Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers
  • Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
  • Engineering interns in Grid Soutions experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
  • Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as instrument transformers and capacitors

Sourcing Responsibilities include:

  • Be part of our team in the quest to strike the perfect balance: achieving the lowest material costs while maintaining top-notch quality and meeting strict schedules .
  • Your role may involve soliciting and scrutinizing proposals, honing your negotiation skills, and mastering cost and price analysis techniques, all with the guidance of our expert support network
  • Additional projects may involve implementing purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations and evaluating current and anticipated requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.
  • Following majors accepted: Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
  • Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
  • Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

Relocation Assistance:

Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

Housing Allowance:

Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
