This role will be responsible for the daily operations of the Instrument Transformer (ITR) business to ensure reliability and consistency of the production line. You will lead the team on lean initiatives, continuous improvements, backlog execution and daily management in order to assure Safety and Quality as well as optimized Cost and Delivery. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages manufacturing operations through the first line Supervisors/Team Leaders
  • Lead plant safety initiatives with support of EHS, Industrial, and HR teams
  • Provide strategic leadership and daily management to the Instrument Transformer business
  • Act with autotomy to ensure ITR product line execute KPIs
  • Partner with other business functions to lead critical Hoshin projects/priorities
  • Oversee day to day operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and SQDCIP targets
  • Lead critical daily/weekly rhythms including genba walks, safety reviews, Flash 5s, Production meetings, Strategic planning meetings etc
  • Work with project managers to assure timely communication with customers of their projects.
  • Responsible for the cost-effective use of resources in the production process. Including the cost-effective use of overtime
  • Ensure that all shop disturbances are properly documented and corrected through eAndon or appropriate Quality System
  • Maintain high level of employee engagement to support continuous improvement and problem-solving culture

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or a comparable discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with progressive increase in responsibility

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of Instrument Transformers or similar energy product
  • Ability to lead initiatives
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • Plant management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment that requires attention to several areas of responsibility simultaneously
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, lean and maintenance
