Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the general accounting, monthly or quarterly close procedures, and reporting process for legal entities in a timely and efficient manner
  • STAT closing activities for countries in the EMEA region, US GAAP to local STAT walk process
  • Partner with the STAT and Tax teams to ensure excellence in operational and transactional accounting, including statutory and tax filing and audit processes
  • Manage relationships with external and internal auditors, ensuring compliance with local stat and GE GAP policies, and having internal control in place
  • USGAAP Balance Sheet accounts ownership
  • Ensure the quality of account reconciliations and B/S analysis while maintaining the integrity of the accounts
  • Drive timeliness and accuracy in financial closing and reporting, and manage related communications with business stakeholders and process teams
  • Manage non-standard manual AP payment submissions, workflows, and bookings
  • Contribute to controllership improvement and simplification initiatives across the region

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & Operational.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
