As Lead Verification & Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of the of HVDC Controls & Protection Verification and Validation team’s activities on time / as per Project Scheduled through proper coordination between Project and department.
Prepare and maintain the Validation & Verification team’s activity plans as per the Project schedule, including creation of Factory Acceptance Test cases which are aligned to the design requirements.
Develop models and perform studies on the control system using tools such as MATLAB, PSCAD, RSCAD to verify system performance.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) in the development and verification of new products.
Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency and delivery of new projects
Support a standard product methodology mindset, seeking opportunities to re-use solutions, improve quality and reliability.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business.
Proven experience in the position of Verification Engineer in the electrical field, preferably experience as a Control & Protection design Engineer for high voltage applications.
Good knowledge of overall high voltage substation and HVDC system design (LCC/VSC/SVC) including control and protection system is essential.
Knowledge of overall HVDC System operational behavior.
Strong communication skills with a fluency in English language.
Experience on MATCAD, PSS/E, EMTP-RV, Digsilent etc will be an advantage.
Knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 62351, IEC 12207, IEEE 15288, IEC 25010, IEC 27032, NERC/CIP will be an added advantage.
