We have an exciting opportunity to bring on an HR Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR Team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The HR Coordinator acts as a liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. Work Location The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. We offer a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday. Please note that on site requirements may include Monday and Friday rotations to support activities such as new hire orientation. The expectation for this position will remain at a minimum of three days on-site per week. Travel is primarily local during standard business days, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Primary Responsibilities Supports HR programs related to recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, and training & development Assigns and tracks compliance training for all employees via e-Learning Management System (LMS) Maintains accurate and up-to-date digital files, records, policies, and other documentation Assists with maintaining the information and resources provided on the HR SharePoint page Assists with planning and execution of special events such as wellness programs, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events Creates and maintains monthly employee lists, active staff directory, and company organization charts Processes employee wellness reimbursement requests, vendor purchase orders, invoices, and bills Responds to verifications of employment Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions Runs HR-related reports and communicates findings Performs other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft 365 Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Ability to be organized and detail-oriented Ability to be a quick study for HR Technology (UKG) Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Exercise good judgment, a high level of integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Display a level of professionalism in accordance with GTI Energy values A high sense of ownership, urgency and drive Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field required 0 – 3 years of recent experience in an entry-level Human Resources position aPHR Certification preferred Physical & Work Environment Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 USD annually. This salary range is GTI Energy’s good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy’s business or organizational needs and an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energy’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific benefits.
