Senior Electrical Engineer (PE Preferred)

Position Overview

We are seeking a *Senior Electrical Engineer* with *5+ years of experience* to join our Phoenix, AZ team. This position will support the design and delivery of complex building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission-critical markets. The ideal candidate is a technically strong electrical engineer with experience leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

* Lead electrical engineering design efforts for assigned projects from concept through construction completion.
* Design electrical power distribution systems, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
* Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, and equipment sizing.
* Develop construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
* Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
* Review project requirements, codes, and client standards to develop efficient design solutions.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with Project Managers.
* Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance.
* Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
* Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers and designers.
* Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* *5+ years of electrical engineering experience* in an A/E consulting environment.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or actively pursuing).
* Strong knowledge of:
* National Electrical Code (NEC)
* Building codes and industry standards
* Electrical power distribution systems
* Lighting design and controls
* Emergency power systems
* Low-voltage systems
* Proficiency with:
* Revit MEP
* AutoCAD
* SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or similar electrical analysis software
* Microsoft Office Suite
