Electrical Engineer

*Location:* Cincinnati, OH

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced *Electrical Engineer* with *35 years of experience* to join our growing Cincinnati team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building systems design, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and is motivated to grow into a Project Engineer or Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

* Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
* Prepare construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
* Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
* Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit, voltage drop, and coordination studies.
* Coordinate designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams.
* Attend client meetings and assist with project presentations.
* Support construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing site visits.
* Ensure designs comply with NEC, local building codes, and client standards.
* Assist Project Managers with project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
* Participate in QA/QC reviews to maintain high-quality project documentation.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* *35 years* of experience in MEP/building systems design.
* EIT certification preferred (not required).
* Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
* Experience designing electrical systems for commercial building projects.
* Proficiency with:
* Revit
* AutoCAD
* SKM Power Tools or ETAP (preferred)
* AGi32 (preferred)
* Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
