Data-architect
We are currently supporting an international consultancy and engineering organization that focuses on sustainability, environmental services, infrastructure, and digital transformation. The company operates across multiple European countries and works on projects related to climate adaptation, water, soil, energy transition, infrastructure, and creating a future-proof living environment.
To further strengthen their data-driven ambitions, the organization is looking for an experienced Data & BI Architect who can play a key role in shaping and professionalizing the enterprise-wide data landscape.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and guiding the future of the company’s data and BI architecture across multiple business units and countries. You will work closely with enterprise architects, DevOps teams, data specialists, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and future-ready data solutions.
The position combines strategic architecture with hands-on involvement and requires someone who is able to translate complex business and data challenges into pragmatic and technically executable solutions.
Key focus areas include:
- Designing modern cloud-based data architectures
- Building and improving enterprise-wide BI and data platforms
- Data governance and data quality frameworks
- Metadata management and data lineage
- Event-driven and API-based integrations
- Supporting AI and advanced analytics initiatives
- Standardizing data processes and architecture principles internationally
- Collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
The organization is specifically looking for someone with experience in areas such as:
- Azure Data Platform / Microsoft Fabric
- Data architecture and enterprise integration
- Data governance methodologies
- BI and analytics environments
- DAMA-DMBOK and/or Data Vault principles
- Cloud-native and scalable architecture environments
- Stakeholder management at both strategic and operational level
The ideal candidate is pragmatic, communicative, and able to operate between strategy and execution. This is not a purely theoretical architecture role; the company values architects who can actively contribute to implementation and organizational maturity.
