The Outreach Energy Analyst role blends fieldwork (site visits, assessments, and verification), office-based responsibilities (rebate processing, reporting, and customer engagement), and relationship building with utility staff and program participants. This role is responsible for promoting energy-efficient programs, fostering collaboration, establishing brand recognition, and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders to drive energy-saving initiatives that Frontier Energy supports. The role is ideal for someone who communicates well, follows through consistently, and enjoys helping others save energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including community-based organizations, trade allies, contractors (Electrical, HVAC, New Construction), cities, and local communities.
  • Conduct facility site visits to collect data, assess efficiency opportunities, and verify completed upgrades (HVAC, Lighting, etc.)
  • Work directly with utility customers and trade allies to identify energy conservation opportunities Process rebate applications with high accuracy and attention to program requirements
  • Attend and host community-based outreach and kick-off events to promote energy efficiency programs
  • Educate entities with clear communication of program benefits, eligibility requirements, and incentives to maximize participation.
  • Monitor the progress and success of outreach efforts, tracking participation and program impact. Present current participation data to program managers on outreach activities and program achievements, including key metrics such as participation rates, stakeholder feedback, and outreach effectiveness.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and implement changes to improve outreach strategies and program offerings.
  • Represent the organization and respective programs at meetings, public forums, and other events to advocate energy efficiency initiatives and policies.
  • Actively participate in developing and maintaining outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and newsletters.
  • Provide regular updates to program leads and assist with reporting and compliance tracking.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences both virtually and face to face.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, scout, and attend local events correlating to Frontier’s Mission.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to complete tasks and hit targets without daily supervision.
  • High level of initiative, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
  • This position will require occasional evening and weekend work to attend events and meetings. This position requires travel within the region (El Paso and Doña Ana County) and attend facility site visits, outreach events, meetings, and workshops.
  • This position will require work in a field setting and will vary depending on the nature of work (outreach activities or facility site visits).
  • This position will require physical fitness to perform associated tasks like standing for extended periods, bending, and kneeling.
  • This position will require the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as ladders and equipment, often up to 40 lbs.
  • This position will require the ability to climb, ascend, and descend ladders safely to perform work at heights.

Preferred Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, or related field preferred. 1–2 years of experience in energy efficiency, building science, or related work.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, public relations, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the energy efficiency or sustainability sector.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with diverse stakeholders such as contractors, trade associations, community organizations, and government entities.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
