Frontier Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Energy Analyst to support energy efficiency programs for both commercial, residential, and nonprofit customers. This full-time role blends fieldwork (site visits, assessments, and verification) with office-based responsibilities (rebate processing, reporting, and customer engagement). Ideal for someone who communicates well, follows through consistently, and enjoys helping others save energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home and facility site visits to collect data, assess efficiency opportunities, and verify completed upgrades (HVAC, insulation, lighting, etc.)
  • Process cost-share and rebate applications with high accuracy and attention to program requirements
  • May perform blower door and combustion safety tests; use infrared imaging tools
  • Communicate with customers, contractors, and team members to provide education and maintain engagement
  • Coordinate scheduling, manage project documentation, and prepare detailed reports
  • Support outreach efforts, including cold calls and in-person engagement to recruit program participants
  • Provide regular updates to program leads and assist with reporting and compliance tracking

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Energy, or related field preferred
  • 1–2+ years of experience in energy efficiency, building science, or related work
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; ability to quickly learn new tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Basic knowledge of residential/mechanical systems (HVAC, insulation, water heating)

Preferred:

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or low-income customers
  • Familiarity with BPI standards and energy assessment tools (blower door, thermal imaging)
  • Experience recruiting participants for energy programs or delivering community-based outreach
