Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Fourth Power Operations team. You will be responsible for building, operating, and maintaining Fourth Power’s development systems.
Your Role
- Execute machining, fabrication, and assembly tasks with direction from project engineers. Tasks may include fabricating parts, assembling extrusion or unistrut structures, connecting piping, and wiring instrumentation.
- Document procedures into repeatable, quality, standard operating procedures.
- Set up, operate, and break down experiments with direction of project engineers.
- Support engineering activities by receiving and putting away materials, maintaining workshop space, maintaining shared tools, and maintaining equipment.
- 5 or more years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, mechanical assembly, or construction.
- Proficiency in a machine shop with manual and semi-automated machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, etc.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, handsaws, powered saws, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience writing procedures and other technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with fellow engineers and technicians.
- Ability to move boxes weighing up to 25lbs regularly.
