Position Summary


The Assistant Manager - Sustainability & Traceability will collect and analyze supplier data for carbon accounting, conducting supplier training, and managing traceability data within our tools.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

Job Description:

  • Support the Fossil’s Sustainability team to on-board key suppliers for collecting required data
  • Support the Fossil’s Sustainability team in energy, carbon, and water accounting by collaborating with suppliers and the supply chain team to collect associated product and materials data
  • Collect and screen traceability product and supply chain information from Fossil Group’s Tier 1 factories
  • Partners with the factories and vendors (Tier 1) to assist them in gathering the relevant ESG information from their Tier 2 and below vendors
  • Partners with internal Sustainability and Traceability teams to educate the vendors of Fossil Group on Sustainability & Traceability data requirements
  • Support in the deployment of the traceability solution platform, including collection process, data quality tracking, report design and production, and third-party verification
  • Support in conduct periodic audits of information supplied by the factories on sustainability and traceability (travel assumed to be 10-20% annually)
  • Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to help ensure organization-wide compliance with relevant sustainability laws and regulations
  • Support with data collection, data analysis, verification, and other tasks for sustainability systems and digital tools
  • Compile and analyse material data from the multiple internal data management systems
  • Deliver key results and report to relevant business owners on the traceability, and ESG KPIs


Must have:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, business management, and sustainability
  • Certification or formal training in any sustainability disclosure framework would be an added advantage
  • Language Proficiency in English (Advanced) and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • In-depth understanding of carbon accounting and product material compliance regulations (EURD, CSRD, Conflict Mineral, REACH, CBAM, DPP)
  • Working knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics, and procurement is essential. Exposure to fashion and retail is an added advantage
  • In-depth exposure to using various data analytics (Advance Excel) and visualization (MS Pivot Table & Power BI) tools
