Our client

Our client is a leading global investor and asset manager in utility-scale renewable energy, with a multi-billion-pound portfolio spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage and hydrogen across Europe and beyond. It entered Asia recently and is scaling fast, with active mandates across several markets in the region and a growing Singapore-based team.


The role

This is a senior leadership role in the Asia investment team, reporting to the Head of Investments (Asia). You will independently drive deal underwriting and business plan delivery across the firm's regional platforms. These include established positions in a North Asian and a Southeast Asian market. You will also support strategy, fundraising and the development of the team.


What you'll do

  • Platform and portfolio management: Support the Head of Investments in running the regional investment platforms, overseeing business plan KPI management and managing the operational portfolio.
  • Deal underwriting and execution: Independently lead underwriting, commercial negotiation and documentation across solar, onshore and offshore wind, energy storage and other energy transition assets.
  • Strategy and fundraising: Contribute to strategic decision-making, mandate expansion and capital raising for the firm's Asian investment strategies.
  • Origination: Originate, screen and evaluate new investment opportunities across target Asian markets.
  • People leadership: Act as a senior leader within the team, mentoring junior colleagues in Singapore and at the European headquarters.
  • Governance: Work with headquarters on investment committee processes, risk management and governance.
  • Market representation: Represent the firm at industry conferences and with prospective and existing investors.


What you'll bring

  • Private equity, M&A or advisory experience in APAC renewables or infrastructure, gained with reputable institutions
  • A track record of managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Proven ability to lead underwriting, commercial structuring, documentation, and development and construction risk assessment independently
  • Advanced skills in deal screening, financial modelling, valuation and business plan KPI management
  • Deep knowledge of renewable and energy transition asset classes, and of APAC market dynamics
  • An established deal origination network across Asia
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Entrepreneurial drive, strong presentation skills and a collaborative approach
