Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a visionary leader to manage a team of Global Supply Managers and oversee the strategic direction of key commodity categories. This role reports into our Director of Global Supply Management. As part of our Supply Chain team, you will not only drive high-level sourcing strategies for our breakthrough iron-air battery technology but also mentor a high-performing team to scale our supply chain as we expand production over the next several years. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Global Supply Managers; foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
- Strategic Sourcing Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end sourcing strategy for a broad portfolio of commodities, ensuring alignment with Form’s long-term product roadmap and manufacturing scale-up.
- Supply Base Architecture: Design and implement a robust supplier risk management framework, identifying second-source opportunities and geopolitical risks to ensure 100% supply continuity.
- Executive Negotiations: Lead high-stakes negotiations for multi-million dollar master service agreements (MSAs) and long-term supply agreements, optimizing for total cost of ownership, quality, and risk.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a key liaison between GSM, Engineering, Finance, and Quality leadership to ensure seamless integration of supply chain strategy into the product development process.
- Process Excellence: Drive the implementation of scalable GSM tools and processes (e.g., QBRs, supplier scorecards, and cost-modeling templates) to improve departmental efficiency.
- Deep Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience directly managing or leading supply chain/procurement professionals in a high-growth hardware or energy environment.
- Strategic Sourcing Expertise: 7+ years of total experience in strategic sourcing, with a proven track record of managing complex global supply chains and multi-tiered supplier relationships.
- Technical Category Depth: Deep expertise in managing a diverse portfolio of complex commodities, including custom mechanical assemblies (metal stampings, plastic injection moldings, etc) and/or electro-mechanical systems (PCBAs, power electronics, energy conversion hardware, etc).
- Communication: Exceptional executive presence; ability to distill complex supply chain risks and strategies into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Advanced Negotiation Skills: Expert-level understanding of commercial law and complex contract structures; proven track record of securing favorable terms for multi-million dollar global supply agreements.
- Change Management and Tactical Execution: Expert at building scalable inter-departmental change management processes and leading teams through decision-making in dynamic, fluid situations.
- Technical Cost Modeling: Deep expertise in advanced cost-modeling (Clean Sheet, Should-Cost analysis) and logistics optimization to drive best-in-class pricing and continual cost reductions.
