The role
We are seeking a commercially minded and strategically focused professional to lead market intelligence, customer insights, and opportunity development activities across the APAC region.
This role will play a critical part in helping FLSmidth better understand market dynamics, customer trends, installed base opportunities, and future capital sales growth potential. Working closely with regional leadership, Global Product Lines, Service Lines, Sales, and Operations teams, you will help drive data-led decision making and identify opportunities to expand FLSmidth’s footprint across both existing and new customer operations.
You will bring together market intelligence, customer insights, commercial analysis, and strategic thinking to support growth initiatives, improve visibility of opportunities, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships throughout APAC.

Your responsibilities
- Develop and improve regional capability and understanding of the APAC market across FLS services, products, and capital sales opportunities.
- Collate, analyse, and share customer and market intelligence across APAC and Global teams, including installed base opportunities and competitor activity.
- Generate insights into customer trends, market behaviour, and future growth opportunities to support strategic decision making.
- Identify and drive lead generation opportunities aligned with customer sustainability, operational improvement, and carbon reduction initiatives toward 2030 goals.
- Support the growth of FLSmidth’s capital sales footprint by identifying conversion opportunities within competitor installed bases.
- Apply analytical and commercial skills to identify revenue leakage, missed opportunities, and long-term growth potential across the region.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Global Product Lines, Service Lines, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain functions to improve collaboration and information sharing.
- Support front-line sales teams with market intelligence, forecasting insights, and strategic opportunity identification.
- Encourage innovative thinking and a data-driven approach to opportunity management, ROI analysis, and customer engagement strategies.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and influence stakeholders across the business to strengthen adoption of data-led commercial decision making.
- Strong commercial, strategic, and analytical capability within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry, or industrial solutions environments.
- Experience in market intelligence, business development, strategic sales support, or commercial operations.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate insights into actionable business opportunities.
- Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across regional and global teams.
- Strong networking, prospecting, and customer engagement capability.
- A proactive and forward-thinking mindset with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
