Overview

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Director Batteries and Energy Sources .

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest ethical standards of integrity and professionalism are adhered to in the procurement process in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Drive total cost of ownership improvement across the entire Embedded Power Battery and Energy Source Supply Base. Be able to report and clearly articulate improvements realized over time.
  • Create commodity specific strategies to ensure Embedded Power Sourcing organization is keeping pace with market dynamics.
  • Work directly with all layers of both large Global and small Regional suppliers to ensure Embedded Power is getting best in class service.
  • Support escalations from Embedded Power's manufacturing operations to ensure finished goods can be manufactured and delivered to customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate an ability to consolidate demand and articulate gaps in supply both short and long term. Actively work with suppliers to help plan capacity to meet the needs of a rapidly growing segment.
  • Negotiate and ensure adherence to Embedded Power's terms and conditions via contract creation and re-negotiation.
  • Consolidate input from research and design and translate this into requirements for Embedded Power's supply base to support both projects in development as well as future projects.
  • Support supplier specific issues with New Product Introduction efforts to ensure product time and cost to market meets RFQ.
  • Align supplier roadmaps with Embedded Power Product Line roadmaps.
  • Be able to clearly articulate battery cell material supply chain across all levels of the Embedded Power Organization.
  • Coordinate and assist in program management of the development of new cells.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision and management.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range (Applicable to US Remote) : $153,000.00 USD - $210,400.00 USD annually. Due to this role being remote, the actual pay range will vary depending on the geographical location of the candidate.
