Job Role: The GHG Specialist will play a pivotal role in Firstsource’s journey towards achieving its net-zero and sustainability goals. This position will lead the measurement, reporting, and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all operational locations, business units, and supply chain activities. The role supports Firstsource’s commitment to responsible business practices, climate resilience, and transparent ESG reporting, and contributes to maintaining the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)

Key Responsibilities:

1. GHG Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain Firstsource’s GHG inventory across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions as per the GHG Protocol and SBTi

• Prepare annual carbon footprint assessments and support external assurance as and when required.

• Maintain accurate documentation and data quality for internal and external audits.

2. Target Setting & Reduction Strategy

• Support Science-Based Targets (SBTi) validation and emissions reduction initiatives.

• Identify hotspots such as energy use, employee commute, and business travel for intervention.

• Partner with procurement, facility management, and IT to reduce emissions across operations and value chain.

• Model potential reduction pathways and evaluate their feasibility.

3. Compliance & Disclosure

• Align GHG accounting practices with global disclosure frameworks such as CDP, TCFD, TNFD, and

SBTi.

• Support Firstsource’s ESG report and sustainability disclosures.

• Contribute to internal carbon pricing initiatives and decarbonization strategies.

• Ensure GHG management practices support compliance with IMS, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.

4. Tools, Systems & Data Management

• Develop and maintain tools and systems for data collection and reporting.

• Evaluate technology solutions for real-time carbon monitoring and analytics.

• Train internal teams on emission data management, ISO documentation, and sustainability practices.

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Finance, Admin, Procurement, IT, HR, and Operations—to integrate GHG insights.

• Engage external consultants, auditors, and certification partners.

• Provide periodic updates to senior leadership and ESG governance teams.

• Support IMS audits and contribute to continuous improvement under ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.

• 3–6 years’ experience in carbon accounting.

• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and emission factor methodologies, CBAM.

• Experience with Scope 3 accounting, LCA, and decarbonization projects in service sector

preferred.

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and audits.

• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or GHG reporting tools.

• Knowledge of carbon pricing, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and offsets desirable.
