The programme focusses on advancing the implementation & adoption of Electric and Solar based Clean Cooking technologies among different customer segments including but not limited to Households, Institutions like Schools & Aaganwadis, Small & micro food vendors/eateries etc. The work will aim to improve health outcomes, promote gender equality, and mitigate climate change impacts linked to household energy use. The focus would be developing strong pillars of sustainable technology adoption which would include

· Create awareness and sentisation followed with creating behavior change campaigns on ground with focus on end consumers. This would also include creating knowledge resources that can support these campaigns

· Second, technology showcase and demonstrations to demonstrate practical use of the technology and it’s benefits and also an experience led learning for the end user. This would also include the Capacity Building and training needs of the end user to ensure that they have hands-on knowledge of the same.

· Technology, identification of the need from the cooking use and defining the technical specifications of the technology, cooking accessories and the retrofitting need of the end user basis the requirement

· Business Model, working towards the right mix of business models that should be integrated to ensure that there is a sustainable implementation and adoptions of clean cooking technologies so that there is a sustained and continuous use of the technology. This would also entail building an eco-system support involving multiple stakeholders.

· Research Support & Impact Assessment, creating a foundational understanding of the baseline and supporting towards assessing and articulation of the impact of the technology adoption.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Program Management & Reporting

  • Lead the process of program implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. This would include but not limited to :-
  • Develop detailed activity plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for various projects.
  • Lead teams at the state level, including managing the work of ground agencies and partners, ensuring project goals are achieved.
  • Track and manage progress reports, newsletters, and updates in both physical and virtual formats.
  • Organize and maintain project data, ensuring timely execution, compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual progress reports, presenting them to stakeholders for transparency and decision-making.

· Developing detailed implementation metrics, supported by IT tools, to ensure the smooth deployment of these devices on the ground and end-to-end visibility of the deployment process.

· Maintaining strict oversight on project timelines and ensuring that activities are conducted simultaneously where required, to avoid delays in planned initiatives.

· Conducting impact assessment of the overall initiative, keeping in mind the objectives defined through consultations with key stakeholders involved in the project. This activity may be conducted in-house or in partnership with a third-party research agency, requiring effective coordination with both internal teams and external partners.

 

  • Manage team dynamics, promoting team building and fostering a collaborative environment to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of program goals, while also engaging experts for input and necessary outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy

● Identify and engage relevant stakeholders for program implementation and define the scope of collaboration and partnership.

● Developing partnerships with key development i.e Policymakers, Development agencies, research institutions, state - based government and non-government agencies, livelihood missions and NGOs for the advancement and deployment of e-cooking related technologies.

● Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery as per the agreed scope of work

● Working with partners to develop strong implementation channel partnerships

 

Communication & Capacity Building

 

● In partnership with the communication and outreach team, developing detailed IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials for awareness generation and capacity building.

● Creating comprehensive IEC materials for training and capacity building. In partnership with the research team creating effective materials.

● Planning and execution of training and capacity building of stakeholders and endusers. This would involve awareness creation, technology showcase, technology demonstration, user training activities.

Technology & Business Models

● Preparing technical documentation for the procurement of e-cooking technologies and supporting supply-chain partners in aligning with these technical requirements.

● Articulating clear technical specifications for electric cooking devices, including wattage, capacity, material specifications, required cookware accessories, plug point requirements, amperage requirements, retrofitting requirements, etc.

● Developing practical business models and developing strong partnerships for implementing the business models. Developing strong relationship financial institutions and channel partners would developing compelling models like Pay-as-go, Banks/NBFC/MFIs credit, grant support through leveraging government schemes.

 

 

Who Should apply/Eligibility:-

 

Must Have

10 years of professional experience in clean energy, clean cooking(preferred), renewable energy and development sector.

3 years of Leadership experience including team coordination, stakeholder management, and budget oversight.

Atleast 1 years of Experience of leading a Clean energy technology implementation project/programme.

● Strong writing, and communication skills (both written and oral) to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels (government, international agencies, industries, clients, and internal teams).

● Expertise with SPSS, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the capability to manage and analyse large datasets.

● Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) in Development Studies, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related fields; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a relevant discipline is preferred.

 

Preferred

● Active Network and previous experience of working with State and Rural livelihood missions as stakeholder for implementation of these technologies for commercial propose

● Active Network and previous experience of working with Micro Finance Institutions as Stakeholder.

● Demonstrated experience in team leadership and multi-stakeholder programme implementation, including coordination with government agencies, financial institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders.

● Strong experience in programme budgeting, costing, financial oversight, and client billing, including tracking project expenditures and financial reporting.

● Proven ability in stakeholder engagement and partnership management, with strong professional communication skills across emails, calls, meetings, and formal documentation.

● Experience in developing project reports and presentations tailored to industrial and academic audiences.
